Extreme H2O Xtra contact lenses incorporate mucin, a substance produced by the human body, this material binds the water in the contact lenses so that only 1% of the moisture is lost from the lenses after being worn for 12 hours. In addition, the biocompatible material structure keeps any immune response from the eyes to a minimum.
