At Mister Spex, quality is of paramount importance. Trained opticians and optical experts at our professional workshop, make sure your lenses and frames come together in perfect harmony and accuracy. Thanks to state-of-the-art technology, we can cut single vision lenses into the right shape.
Your selected frames first undergo a first phase quality control. Before that, your new glasses have already been checked for inclusions and scratches. Next, the blank single vision lenses, manufactured by Hoya Lens, are adjusted to your prescription values.
Now your frame is measured using a scanning device, a so-called tracer. This step is very important so that later when the lenses are inserted they can be readjusted to the right shape and size to fit your frame. The tracer automatically transmits the measured data to the cutting machines.
After the sanding machine receives the sent data, it cuts the blank lenses into the correct size and shape. Our sanding machines comply with state-of-the-art technical standards and are able to produce the most accurate results within a tenth of a millimetre.
Quality craftsmanship is in high demand these days. After your glasses have been finished, our trained opticians and optical experts fit the frames with polished lenses. Their years of experience and expertise result is quality glasses. For lenses to be attached to plastic frames they first need to be heated, while metal frames require the lens to be screwed into place. If necessary, our opticians will re-cut the lenses by hand to make sure they are accurately fitted.
Our opticians check your lenses and glasses thoroughly before sending them out to you, so we can guarantee a perfect final product. You can adjust the prescription and centre your glasses with a lensmeter. Only when the determined values correspond to the defined tolerance ranges of the valid standard DIN EN ISO 21987 certification, will we post your glasses to you. Now isn't that something to look forward to?
